About Us

JD James, Inc. was founded in 2002 by J.D. James and his wife, April James.

Mr. James has thirty five years of construction industry experience. His experience in residential and commercial construction projects span from historical restoration to luxurious hotel interiors. Mrs. James has 18 years of construction industry experience, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and Design, along with seven (7) different state contractor's licenses.

JD James, Inc. is an award winning, high-end millwork and cabinetry installation company, employing Master Carpenters, each with over 25 years experience. We have extensive experience in corporate, healthcare, government, hospitality, golf course clubs, and historical restoration project types.

JD James, Inc.'s superior reputation is built on the fact that we demand the best of ourselves. We maintain membership in four major industry associations enabling continuing education for all our employees. Because of our commitment to quality and our superior craftsmanship, J.D. James, Inc. was awarded Specialty Project of the Year from the Associated Builders and Contractors for our interior millwork installations at Starwood Properties, St. Regis Hotel, Atlanta’s only Five-Star Five-Diamond hotel. This prestigious award is provided to companies who are recognized for their outstanding quality and innovation. In 2007 JD James, Inc. received a Merit Award from the Associated Builder's and Contractors for our work on Farmer's and Merchant's Bank located in Tallahassee, Florida.
